October is Cyber Awareness Month.

Yes it’s October already and that means it is cyber security awareness month.

The UK’s national cyber security centre NCSC have released a very good staff cyber awareness training package for free.

This covers the basic cyber threats and steps they can take to help mitigate them along with a short test to reenforce learning. I strongly advise all my clients to implement staff cyber awareness training into induction packages and via yearly refresher training. Staff are busy, working from home, distracted by all that initials and cyber security is often forgotten about. Making it part of the day to day helps to make cyber security second nature and something we just do without thinking.
